Verein der Österreicher Waldfest

 

Macomb Township ­ Der Verein der Österreicher ladet ein zum Waldfest 2008 am Sonntag, 29. Juni im Österreicher Park. Viel hat sich getan in unserem schönen Österreicher Park in den letzten Jahren. Die Anlagen mit dem Klubhaus sind im Sommermittelpunkt unserer Veranstaltungen. Unser Parkverwalter mit seinen Helfern hat die Anlagen wieder in Tip Top Shape" gebracht. Mitglieder und Freunde mit ihren Familien, Kinder und Enkelkinder kommen Jahr für Jahr mit Begeisterung zu unserem Wald und Wiesenfest.

Andere deutsche Vereine und Kulturgruppen mieten unseren Park für ihre Veranstaltungen, unter anderem findet der GACC- Deutsche Tag am 10. August und das Edelweiss Volksfest am 20. Juli statt. Alle sind auch für diese Veranstaltungen herzlichst eingeladen.

Come and celebrate with us, bring your whole family and enjoy our beautiful setting in the park.

Our program this year is as following:

Gates open at 10:00am and close at 10:00pm.

Admission is $3.00 per Person, children under 16 years are FREE.

10am and 12 noon soccer games will be played.

1:00 - 2:15 Dancing for everyone

2:15 - 2:45 Opening celebration (Begrüssung)

2:45 Childrens Parade (Free Gifts).

3:00 - 4:00 Dancing for everyone

4:00 - 4:30 Teutonia Volkstanz- and Schuhplattlergruppe from Windsor, Canada.

4:30 - 5:30 Dancing for everyone

5:30 - 5:45 Teutonia Volkstanz- and Schuhplattlergruppe from Windsor.

5:45 - 7:00 Dancing for everyone

7:00 - 9:00 Entertainment by the Austrian Duo.

Music by the "Tradewind" and the "Austrian Duo". Our Wienerschnitzel prepared by Head Chef Kathy Fina and Randy Mathy are one of many reasons why our Waldfest has become so popular. Bratwursts, one of the finest specialities made for this occasion will also be served. Austrian beers and wines are also available for your consumption.

Just a reminder: Michigan law prohibits bringing alcoholic beverages and food into the park.

Fun, food and drink for young and old. Many activities and prizes for children including: a clown, moonwalk plus face painting.

The Austrian Park is located on 56200 Hayes Road north of 25 Mile Road.
